Anti-Bacterial
Summary:
Early research is looking at the possibility of anti-bacterial coverage using cannabinoids (such as CBD). Early findings in pre-clinical trials are showing that CBD when combined with some antibiotics has the potential for a more powerful effect then with antibiotics alone. Specifically when used with bacitracin against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. Another cannabinoid, cannabigerol (CBG) is showing very promising anti-bacterial affects against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Both CBD and CBG have not shown to work well against gram negative bacteria.
