Summary:
A study from Baylor reported that CBD significantly decreased inflammation and pain in arthritic dogs. Their mobility and quality of life was increased. A Colorado University study published a reduction of seizure frequency in dogs with epilepsy by 33%. The study proposed with higher CBD dosing there is the potential for a >50% reduction. Cornell has published several studies and recently reported that CBD reduced pain and increased activity in osteoarthritic dogs. Another Cornell study on the safety profile of CBD reported that CBD was safe in the dog population but that cats had some elevation in their liver enzymes. Some signs of this concern in your pet may be unusual drowsiness and increased thirst as were noted in this study.
